I practise Sports & Remedial Massage and a range of complementary therapies from my clinic based in Hay on Wye, Herefordshire /Powys.
Health and Wellbeing is a passion of mine; my work goal is to help you out of pain, help you to manage your muscles better and also work on posture, stance and balance.
I literally fell! into this line of work, I became fascinated how one particular injury or event can have such an impact on balance and posture, and so my passion for body mechanics began.... Over the last six years I have trained and qualified in Sports and Remedial Massage, Posture and Bodywork, and Reflexology.
As an holistic practitioner, I look at the whole picture of how we treat ourselves in our day to day lives not only on a physical level, but also from an emotional viewpoint.
Adopting this approach has opened many more avenues for my professional development leading me into the Steiner world of Wellbeing & Weleda Products, Relaxing & Wellbeing Massage.
I practise Sports Massage Therapy in Hay on Wye, Herefordshire and Powys for

• Sports Events Support (Pre and Post Treatments) - suitable for cycling, hockey, football and rugby clubs.

Remedial Massage - helps to 'remedy' and alleviate general aches, pains and back pain and is ideal for when you overexert during exercise, gardening, sports activities or simply tweaks and twinges. This is also great for treating postural imbalances and the associated muscle strains, helping you to relax the stressed areas and bring your body back into correct balance.
When you are receiving more than one treatment, we can discuss and create a treatment plan for you designed to meet your specific needs, this is, of course flexible, depending on how your treatment progresses.
Where relevant, depending on the reason for your visit, I can provide you with information on appropriate stretches and exercises designed to help you take control of your own recovery.

Weleda Wellbeing Massage
This treatment is a variation of Weleda/Steiner Rythmic Massage. This treatment uses the lemniscate massage technique to bring about relaxation and calm. Using natural Weleda Oils and Scents I can tailor the treatment to your individual needs.
Treatment involves Back Neck Shoulder, Arms and Facial massage including acupressure points on the head and some aspects of Indian Head Massage.
Warm Bamboo Massage - This warming deep tissue massage uses different lengths of warmed natural bamboo cane to provide uniform heat and pressure on tired and aching muscles. The heat relaxes the muscles and the pressure rolls away knots and adhesions. This is good for lower back pain, and the heat and warmth can help relax and mobilise stiffened joints.
Energy Therapy - This can be done with the client fully clothed, I hover my hands over the energy centres of the body, this can bring about a profound sensation of calm and quietening.

I am able to offer a mobile service for my therapies upon request. This may incur a fee depending on the distance travelled. Please ask when booking your appointment.
